After we had enjoyed some comfort food at the Pasticceria Ferrari on the Via Mario Gordini, we turned down a narrow alleyway to the right of us (the Via della Tesoreria Vecchia), which led us down to the Piazza Unità d'Italia. That's what we're looking at here. (Beyond that (via the passageway that you can see on the left) we can go back into the Piazza del Popolo which is where we had been left by our tour guide, and where we were due to meet up again. This completed a rather small circuit of a rather small part of the city.)
Most of the places that face onto this square appear to be residential, but there are plenty of eateries in the Piazza del Popolo.
Certainly the residents of the far building appear to be proud to be Italian based on the wall mural, which we will see more closely in the next couple of shots... although given the name of the Piazza Unità d'Italia suggests that the wall decoration is, at the very least, thematic.
Obviously this was done with my lens cap fisheye.
