As I said, I wasn't completely sure whether the building in the earlier "Gimmie Steam" shots was a brewery, but I thought it was. Of this one, however, I have no doubt. This is the Carlton and United Breweries plant in Southampton Crescent, Abbotsford. (I could read the name on the side in some of the images.)

Although we didn't know it at the time this did not have long to live as an Australian company. CUB was at the time part of Fosters Group, formerly Elders IXL. Only a month after this shot, Fosters Group was acquired by British multinational SABMiller. In October 2016, SABMiller was taken over by Belgian-based Anheuser-Busch InBev.

As far as I have been able to determine, as of late 2021 the factory was still operating.
