11977 Entering The Exit (38), The Adaptable Migrant (34), and Onlookers near dawn

Mark's Park, Bondi, NSW

You have to admit that there's a certain... strangeness... about this tableau; somewhat like a cross between the discovery of Stargate and a scene from The Mummy. Throw in the slightly eerie dawn sunlight over the ocean and...

Leaving aside the human figures, the sculpture on the left is Braddon Snape's welded and epoxy coated steel creation Entering The Exit. "The work ponders the notion of journey in all its incarnations - physical, spiritual, cognitive, psychological, social and personal". Except for those of us who sometimes feel that we're going around in circles, but let's not get into that.

The one on the right is The Adaptable Migrant by Suzie Bleach and Andy Townsend, discussed more fully in its own images (11775 and 11778).

Excellent image! A lot going on there, glad you added the caption or I would have been very confused! Well exposed
against the glittering sea. V
