As with Green Forest Object, this shot was taken on my way back after the sun had broken through. This is only a small section of the sculpture, which is attached to the cliff front for a few metres along the pathway.
The sculpture by Jane Gillings is described in the catalogue as being about the ephemeral nature of sculptures like these. However her biography paragraph describes her as "trying to keep from being drowned by the products of this disposable world". Given that this one is constructed in part of disposable plastic, there's doubtless a mixture of motivations behind it.
