Pavement Ends - Summer Clouds

Charleston SC

Another adjoining pair of negatives from the 1927 Ensign All-Distance 6x9 Box Camera,
using the '9 feet focus' lens setting, and the standard infinity setting.

Dust spots are at no extra charge. The camera has good negative spacing, but there
are light leaks, and I think the shutter may be running at around 1/30th. The clouds
were a challenge, especially having fixed aperture and speed. Moderate overcast was
welcome here. FP4 and Ilfosol3 is a good combination, and forgiving.

The vertical compositions were necessary to grab these particular subjects.
As an aside, the landscape image horizon is only horizontal because I used a tripod. :-)
It is quite a task to see anything in the small reflective viewers, so I used the wire frame.

I think that is great that you enjoy this "retro" photography.

Oh Colin, you do like a challenge, don't you.
Not bad for a 85-year old - camera, that is.
