Atalaya Nº1 - Ziatype

Mt.Pleasant SC

Ziatype 9x9 (22x22cm), from an Epson R2400-printed digital negative on
OHP Pictorico film (with custom curves and icc profile) contact printed on Bergger Cot 320.

(When I was coating the base paper, I mistakenly coated to allow for an 8x10, hence
the heavy base.. Ooops! And then, when I was ready to expose to UV via the sun,
a heavy cloud cover had arrived - and stayed - making the exposure in the printing
frame a little over two hours! Such things make for all the fun in doing these processes.

This print really needs a 'do-over' to capture a little more detail in the whitewashed
walls, although it is 'passable' when viewed as a print and not on the screen.)

Leica D-Lux 2

other sizes: small medium large original auto

Very nice. Actually the coating is fine as is. Consistency being the purpose.
Interestingly in your descriptors there is n mention of a step wedge...hmmm.

Yes, John. I just added that info under the image description.
Should have made that clearer. All my processes are contact
printed, and I like something a bit bigger than my 4x5 negs! :-)

I love this Colin! The composition and lighting are superb!
I don't know about a do-over because I think this is outstanding! BV :)

Fascinating process Colin. Are you using an inkjet to produce the digital negative?
