Digital Collectibles

It's time we started doing this. There are a number of digital cameras which are worth keeping for all sorts of reasons.
Where possible, these are all year 2000 and before - unless there is something special about them.
Some take great images. Some dreadful - Digital Lomography is a possibility.
Some are landmarks in camera development. Some are just, well...weird.
It seems that between about 1998 and 2004, the companies let the engineers have their head.
It was a new area and it was possible that people would accept a new design style?
But people 'know' what a camera is supposed to look like, don't they?
It didn't work and now they all look pretty much like film cameras used to do but, for a while...

Now this is a world where a ten year old camera is an absolute antique.
Get them now while they are still cheap and working.
Most people never need more than 2MP anyway. :-)
