This is a period correct suspension upgrade to the rear of a factory 914-6 GT implemented by the racing-team. Note the components used https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/120175118

While the GT is resting on its suspension and flat-footed on the ground, looking at this photo https://pbase.com/9146gt/image/22479528 it appears the sway-bar is not positioned in the ideal and recommended horizontal neutral setting. Sway bars should be parallel to the ground, not above or below the horizontal plane.
