Caleb and Becky made the 2nd NICU reunion at Arlington Memorial
since Caleb was their guest for 64 days. He gave his doctor, Dr. Tisdale
a high five when he walked in and got reacquainted with the wonderful
nurses who cared for him over those many days. We still stay close
to a couple of them. They're an amazing bunch and I am ever so thankful
to the contribution they made to my child's early struggle for life.
Caleb won the raffle for the Build-A-Bear and took his prize from the
big fellow in the picture with a hearty "Fanks!!" Everyone clapped and
laughed. They had a great time. It floods my heart with memories
of those days. I'm reminded that a small piece of Heaven is tucked away
on the first floor of a hospital in Arlington, Texas with God's version of
human angels who cared for my baby night and day. You are not forgotten.
And, as Caleb put it so eloquently, "Fanks!"
