This early example of a fibreglass spire was erected in 1961 on St Pauls Church Smethwick West Midlands to replce th original spire on the Victorian church.

A fine shot of this architectural oddity, Mark. (Your description has me a little confused however! "This was shot inside with the camera sat on the floor."?? Surely this shot was taken outside?)
