Gone but not Forgotten

This happened just north of Ka'anapali in an area known as Kahana. The
surf spot is refered to as "S-Turns" and is a very popular spot.
Unfortunately, he was in the wrong place at the right time and was bit
in the leg while on dawn patrol while out doing what he enjoyed most.
Sadly, he bled out on the beach before the paramedics could even get to him.

He was very well liked by those who knew him (although I did not) and
to this day, his friends leave flowers for him on the bench, pictured above,
at the site of his favorite surf spot.

I had heard that sharks were a problem for surfers in Hawaii. Strange coincidence that the story at the top right corner is about Easter feasts. I guess the shark had his own.
