I believe this is where the ford used to be before the lake. I have many memories of fishing here with my grand-dad when I was a kid, both from the bank and a boat.

Years later when I was working for the local paper I was driving along this road looking for "enterprise art" and I saw a guy fishing here. I almost stopped to make his photo but decided not to. I was back at this location an hour or so later photographing the recovery of his body from the lake. Evidently he slipped, hit his head and drowned. The fact I may have been one of the last people to see him alive has always stuck with me.
