Walk in the Park I

Burns Park in Kingston Springs, TN

Sequential scenes in the aftermath of the 2010 flood
taken along the old nature trail in Burns Park. Each
step deeper into the downed trees and debris exposed
new little pieces of the story of peoples' lives
scattered like dandelion seeds in the wind.

A view of the three bridges between downtown Kingston
Springs and Pinnacle Hill. You can still see the flood
debris in the old steel span bridge (closed now for
many years). Note the section of the CSX train bridge
that was washed away and into the newer vehicle bridge.
They continue to work on these bridges daily.

This view is from the starting point of the old Burns
Park nature trail looking back upstream. To see my
journey into what was a beautiful mature forest nature
trail in Burns Park, see the series below...

That river seems to be bad on bridges. We just got a landslide not far from here, a whole farm disapeared, with the family.

How much power there is in the water! For better or worse ...

The force of water is amazing!
