Closed Highway 70

Western Davidson County in Tennessee

(I have posted this EXTRA LARGE for closer scanned viewing)

This is the section of Highway 70 west of Bellevue that runs between Newsome's Station Road and McCrory Lane. It is sandwiched between a tall rock bluff and the Harpeth River. This is one of the rock and land slides in this section of highway that have it shut down.

I've dedicated and added several images to a gallery of scenes from the aftermath of the 2010 1000 year flood...

Canon EOS 1D Mark II ,Canon EF 17-40mm f/4L USM
Seven vertical images stitched with Photoshop full exif

other sizes: small medium large original auto

I think we are extremely lucky this sort of this doesn't happen too often....good shots, Scott.

Looks like nature has cut a destructive path through your area...hopefully everyone is safe and can get back to normal soon..
