Almighty God, Palm Sunday is a day of memories.
We remember that Jesus, on a donky's back,
rode into Jerusalem to shouts of acclaim.
A few days later, acclaim turned to disdain.
Today we rejoice, but later this week we must face the music,
a sad song, though we know with a happy ending.
Teach us once again, that we might teach others,
of our Savior whose eyes stayed focused on the prize.
