This is the beginning of digital for me. The company I worked for sent me a Canon G2 camera and when I downloaded the first images onto the screen of my iMac I said out loud "Film is toast!" I couldn't believe the quality I was getting from this inexpensive point and shoot. No long after I paid $2400 for a Canon 30D, the only digital SLR they were selling at the time. I continued to shoot film, but only personal pictures, not for the newspaper.
