This is a section from a tri-x negative. The image quality is terrible, and that launches me on a rant in favor of digital. With a digital camera, you don't have to worry about consistency in processing. Since I got a scanner and began to scan my old images, I've become aware of how much processing quality varies for both black and white and color. This roll of film was processed at a commercial lab in Zagreb....and is not what it should have been. But black and white processed here in Alaska also has been "miracle dipped" in supposedly good labs. Eliminating this varible is a virtue of digital. Film is toast. I see no reason to keep shooting film. So you'll be seeing a bunch of Leica film bodies on eBay shortly!
