Every port in America has stacks of shipping containers. In Long Beach or Oakland the yards are huge with the boxes piled seven high. All those containers came in full and either will leave empty or more likely, they'll never leave. It's cheaper to build new ones in the far east than to ship them back. But in Dutch Harbor the containers come in empty and leave full. The volume of containers going out every day is staggering. The trucks moving the big boxes around run all night. This is a town of 4,000 permanent residents. But there are 10,000 fish processing workers going 24 hours a day to fill these shipping containers.
