The pool at Avila Hot Springs was built in the 1930s. The small resort smells like sulfur and the water in the pool has a medicinal feel to it. Next to the big pool is a hot pool getting water direct from the hot springs. Great place to vegetate. Lots of interesting people, particularly Russian immigrants, always fans of the "banya."
