Steller Jay!
Loud and raucous most of the year until the hazelnuts ripen.
Then they go into stealth mode and they turn into ghosts.
They move from bush to bush and the only time you will
see them is if you turn around at just the right moment
Most of the time you’ll just feel their presence as they check
each pod for ripeness then fly off to hide their treasure.
