Playing in the Snow

at Hurricane Ridge

Not that it matters where you are from,
who you are or even what you do.
People are pretty much the same.
As photographers, we watch people
or at least I do. (You do too!)
When we moved here almost 30 years ago.
There where quite a few Japanese living here
because they bought a local paper mill.
There were also bus loads of tourists from Japan.
This has always been a good thing.
We meet them, they meet us, no monsters here.
Then without noticing because the buses were still here
but they are now full of tourists from China.
It makes perfect sense because the world changes.
It’s the same but different.
It’s still a good thing.
We meet them, they meet us, no monsters here.

Good statement, John. To me they were enthusiastic and enjoying themselves playing with the snow and taking selfies

Fantastic capture. I remember my visit to Hurricane Ridge many years ago and a photo I took - amazing light and clouds over the ridge just before the storm. V.
