Heron Hiding in The Hoh

Walking through the Hall of Mosses
when a fellow photographer pointed it out.
I was surprised because I have never
seen one deep in the forest.
It didn’t even react to us being there.
Rough-skinned Newts are common
along with a fairly wide variety of salamanders.
So I'm sure there was something that rued
the day the heron found its way into the woods.
