20050318 / Low Tide Designs

Lunchtime low-tide.

Rain or shine, it's always a good time to take the
day off work and go surfing. Of course, a rainy day
surf could very well mean getting tossed around in
choppy water for two hours. I knew there had to be a
reason I was the only one in the water. Still, a bad
day surfing is always better than a good day working
--provided, of course, your definition of 'bad day'
does not include being eaten by a shark or something.

That would just, you know, suck.

I agree with Donna. I like both versions. I like in the colored version the lighting and your expression sets the mood. I like the angle from which you choose to take your image. Very well done.

Both this and the b&w are fantastic. Great lighting, expression - all of it came together perfectly. I saw this last night and it reminded me of something .. nagged at me for a long time trying to think what it was. This is like the shots they do in SI when they profile someone. Excellent, Chris. Really well done.

Laughing at Dawn. You remind me a bit of Ray Pettit's SPs here, which is a compliment. The pose, lighting and expression are excellent.

Hmm.. if you were the only one in the water.. I'm guessing that the sharks decided to lay low too! ;) And the 'Hmmmmmmmmm' look to this... you look like one of the teachers I work with when there kids give them a story.. of .. 'yeah, right.. tell me another'...
