7th July

Doors to Manual Cabin Crew!

Islanders were invited to a FREE tour of MV Bute today for 2 hours
which included the control panel and even the engine room
(too many people wanting to get in there though so i didn't get in for a look tsk)

I went about 4pm and got loads of pics, got home and they had disappeared!! :-o
I have no idea what happened but they just vanished!
it was my BRAND NEW memory card that i was using
and i think that was the cause of the problem and not my camera...
anyway i got back down there again for pics,
I think i actually had better ones on the last attempt because it wasn't raining!!
but at least these ones made it to the pc :-/
exclusive pics here: http://www.pbase.com/zak355/mvbute

what can i say about the events in London today?
I hope no Pbasers got caught up in it all... :-(

Do the passengers have seats this comfy??

Looks so high tech-astic. I bet the captain plays video games on those screens when no one's looking. ;-)

Nice view of the "controls"-very impressive. The London tragedy is indeed a cause for concern. God bless the victims.

That's a nice office to work out of. Good shot Zak. Been watching the shocking events overnight & I too hope all pbasers are safe.

She looks a nice vessel Zak, however I have seen enough ships to last me a lifetime, they are nice to photograph, but dont be on one in a force 9 in the arctic.

Nice idea to let the 'locals' look around MV Bute.
