26th October

The 2 former Skye ferries reunited again today.

Probably not much interest to many but after the Skye bridge was built 20 years ago
they were considered to be spare and not required to be in the Calmac fleet anymore
but after sitting layed-up in Greenock for 2 years, a sale to an African Ferry Co falling through,
a change of Government and a then brand new ferry suffering a major break down they were found useful again.

it's rare to see them together these days,
although it's twice i've seen them now in as many days so maybe not that rare...

I've probably been on both of them before the bridge was built

Lovely to think they can be revived...a nice shot, Zak
