14-JUN-2015

14th June

a nice wee visitor to Bute International this morning.

Believed to be from 1941(of 1936 design)
it served with the Spanish Air Force until the late 50's
and then sat in a shed in Germany for 30-40 years
before being rescued and restored by her current owner based in North Berwick

It's almost like a Tiger Moth but I don't think it is, unless a later design.

Lovely restoration.
Looks way much earlier than a 30s design but there were a few aircraft like this in that decade.

Nice, and nice timing for the better weather - open cockpit is breezy to say the least.

It looks pristine
