21-AUG-2008

21st August

yes i'm expecting my stats to jump up tonight,
within half an hour of it happening most of the town knew!!

took my brother out on another driving lesson,
we were doing no more than 30mph at most(I wouldn't let him go any faster)
and i think he clipped the grass verge or something sending the Pug flying into the nearby field,
luckily we were both alright, Pug has a fair bit of frontal damage,
could of easily been alot worse, we landed on the front left
(right on this pic - where most of the damage is as you can see)
and it could of rolled, and with the Pug having a glass panoramic roof....... :-o

My brother will get abit of stick for it but i dont think it was fully his fault,
I think he saved us from rolling though!
Thanks to Sophie Reid and Tractor Tom(McMillan) for helping us out!

I think it might be time to get the Other Pug fixed...

Just spotted the later pic - things always seem to happen when I'm not able to look in.
Still, if you can not only walk away, but drive away as well, then it's trivial despite the bent bits, which can be fixed. Commiserations ;-(

so the pug got a bit of a bang on the nose... glad to hear that's the extent of the damage.

Good that your both okay. After all it's only metal and one way or another will be replaced. I sometimes think an upset during the early stages of learning to drive is not all bad...makes you see how easily it happens and hopefully will remain aware of this

Hope you're brother doesn't get too much stick - we all make mistakes, and he'll never forget this learning opportunity. Hope you give the Pug plenty of TLC

Double gasp... so glad that you are both ok

At the end of the day..nobody's hurt!!

Ah poor Pug.. a good night's sleep is needed for both of you. Get up early tomorrow, get a bucket of soapy water a sponge & give Pug a good clean. Things will look different after that, the mud always makes things look worse.
Bet your Mum is doing more peace keeping than the U.N. tonight!!

A relief that you are safe ... that is most important. Cars can be repaired.
Conor Mckay 21-Aug-2008 19:53
Oh dear. I hope its not too pricey to repair.
I had a driving lesson today too (in the heavy rain eek).
Johnny JAG21-Aug-2008 19:50
You won't need to polish this week then ;-)

It adds some character !

Yes, I remember a few hairy moments/repair bills when my Dad was teaching my elder brother to drive.
Worringly, he decided to become an air traffic controller, but there's no need to hide - he took early retirement!

Glad nobody got hurt:)

I was quite shocked when I first saw the photo. Anyway, glad you're both ok.
The Pug can be mended..
