Autumn in the rose garden...
There's plenty of these in the rose garden right now
Here's a hip from another rose, they're all a bit different...
and a rose that just keeps on flowering all year

Easter egg scramble
Ready-set-go - the older kids were held back until
the little ones had their go, then away they went!
The last of a series of 3 photos taken down
in the Southern Vales. If I knew how, I would
have shown all the coloured eggs strewn over the oval.
Here's another shot of the grasses

Grasses & vines
Grasses growing along the fenceline. Some of the
vines had turned more than others. This group
of vines was just starting to turn...depends on
the type of grape.
Here's a weed that was going to seed in this
crop of grass.

Sunlight on the vines
We've been picnicking down amongst the vines
in the Southern Vales area today, hence 2 shots
of autumn leaves shimmering in the sunshine...

Sun shining on the hillside
I'm standing on our driveway looking towards
Mt. Lofty (with the towers) - the rain has
just cleared and the sun is poking through
the clouds. There is a valley between
the "mount" and us. This is our view.
Here's the tiniest little daisy, 15-mms diameter
at the most. I tried to keep as still as
possible to take the photo & get it in focus.

Prince of the graveyard...
Found growing in an old graveyard
the rose was named after the nearest
deceased epitaph. The rose belongs
to the "tea" class and grows easily
in our Mediterranean climate.
Here's a rosebud named after
our neighboring country, New Zealand.

Out of the gallery window
We went for a tour around a boutique art gallery today, they were displaying early drawings
and maps made by Dutch explorers of The Great South Land. which they referred to as
New Holland. The gallery fronted onto a parkland on the north of the city of Adelaide.
Here's a shot taken inside the gallery...
I rather liked how the picture of the
girl is reflected in the glass of the
side hung pictures.

Fallen vine leaf
there's plenty of these now and others
will join them soon.
Here's an evergreen leaf, a pink lobelia & the rose "Tamora"

It's only "pretend" Grandma...
Toy cars seems to go with having grandsons...
Here's the one who wanted the photo of the
little car...& yes, he's had his curls cut, Laine.

Autumn in the rose garden...
A quick wander around the garden
finding some of the leaves of the
"antique" roses turning colour...
This particular one was Fantin-Latour
and a few other little treasures.

The old cart
An old derelict cart under a mallee gum
in the yard of some farmer friends of ours
Here's something else that was in the yard
(using the green-grey filter)

Sheep
We were travelling in sheep country a couple
of days ago. Its limestone country as
you can see.
Here's a relic from the past
from this particular area
