This is a rose that was bred in Australia. Its a rather large shrub rose well armed with thorns, but quite a joy to see when the shrub is covered in beautiful blush pink blooms. I was very surprised to find a bloom opening this morning, as it is winter down under. I have many old tea roses who bloom in our winter, but did not expect this one to be a winter bloomer! This one is named after our local river - "Onkaparinga"
