A strong wind will take these and then the branches will be bare until August or September. This is one I don't have to prune, if I did there'd be no spring blooms - and it only flowers then. Its called a "moss" rose because of the rough texture on the stems and leaves. Mine has got to quite a height, taller than I am, and it sends the long canes out from the base. The flowers are small and profuse. Quite fragrant.
