The hips belong to Frulingsmorgen and the rose is an Austin called Anne Boleyn. This particular Austin rose grows in the shape of a mushroom, though not over tall, it
takes up some space. I cut it back about every 3 years and just dead head the rest of the time. The blooms are in small clusters.
Sorry, I forgot to check for fragrance! The melaleuca is a native Australian flower that grows on a medium sized shrub.
We have some in one of the wind-breaks between the house garden and the horse paddocks.
We have had 30mms of rain overnight!!!! Unfortunately Kangaroo Island (where fires are still burning) had none.. :(
