Ah poor bird. We have lost hundreds of Black cockatoos due to high temps.
I sure hope you havn't had to evacuate!

Well done, nice image.

How are you doing down there in the heat. I see you have extreme fire danger conditions down there ..... I hope all is well. Your picture shows your feelings very well. It is difficult living with such unpredictability. Hopefully we get through it this year.

This really does say 'heat' to me. It must be pretty scary living under that threat... keep safe!

Great effect in this. I hope everything passes OK for you. We see the fires on TV, they must be awful.

An image perfectly conveying the present situation. His wings raised in an effort to cool down - I hope that you all stay safe.

We've had wildfires come within two miles of our house and I know what an anxious, restless and helpless feeling it can be. I wish you and your family all the best Yvonne. Take good care!
Cindi Smith11-Jan-2010 03:21
Gosh, I hope everything is okay, Yvonne! I'll pray that the fire does not reach you. Please be safe!

You have to know how much I am enjoying your series. One of the things I appreciate most about Pbase is the worldwide connection it provides us. It saddens me that your part of the world is facing these severe threats. I hope you and yours remain safe and out of harms way Yvonne.

Nice one Yvonne, hopefully you don't suffer from the weather yourself, mid 40's is tough even without the fire warnings... best wishes..

I love this image Yvonne! v
I hope that the fires subside and your home / neighborhood / town is spared. I cannot imagine what you must be dealing with.
