A weekend of fun, the Italian way. Exotic Italian cars, living chess match, classic
Italian movies, choral festival, soccer challenge match, food & wine, Italian cooking
classes, bocce competition, harlequin puppet theatre, Italian heritage display,
special mass, art exhibition, all happening in the little alpine town of Myrtleford,
and we went along to the "food & wine" day, held in the streets of Myrtleford.
Dick enjoyed tasting the wines & food of the area and we wandered along to
see the Italian heritage display. As you can see it was a delightful sunny day.
I took the little pani along so I could mingle without being too obvious.
PS. If you're wondering what the "Living Chess Match" is about... Its a re-enactment
of a game of chess first played in Marostica near Venice in 1454 for the hand of the
Lord's daughter. Live people are the chess pieces and like all good love stories,
this one has a happy ending!
