On April 3 I was asked to take photos during the Easter vigil mass with baptism (100+) and confirmation ceremonies. I arrived at my parish church around 19:30 just in time to see the bonfire built. The well participated (all 1,000 candles were all distributed) ceremony commenced at 20:00 at the churchyard. The entire ceremony lasted over three and half hours. I used my Nikon D3 + AFS 28-70/f2.8 + SB900 (with Gary Fong’s Lightsphere Collapsible). During the baptism ceremony (about 200 photos taken already) the SB900 flash emitted an odd peep and stopped functioning. Well it got overheat as I shot too many photos within too short a space of time! SB900’s recycling time is fast and the emergency stoppage served to protect the flash circuit. Well as I forgot to bring along my SB800 I went for Plan B and changed the ISO setting from 200 to four digit levels.
