(Photo 1 – 18) The Sunday Market: The market is about an hour drive from down town. Many Cambodian families would buy ready cooked food from the market and rent mat seats at the huts along the river for picnic. We just tried the sugar cane juices and some local fruits and I don’t recall anyone has tried the BBQ turtle (US$7 per piece) or the deep fried insects (spider, cricket, ant etc).
(Photo 20 – 21): After lunch we spent an hour at a casino before leaving for Siem Reap (Angkor Wat lies 5.5 km north of the modern town).
