Minneapolis, Minnesota



Minneapolis is a suprisingly livable city. Minneapolis lies on the banks of the Mississippi River and combined with its twin city St. Paul, is one of the largest metropolitan areas in the U.S. It is home to some of the biggest corporations, serving as a key business center between Chicago and Seattle. Target, 3M, Best Buy just to name a few. The winter months are brutal, but Minneapolis has the largest network of fully covered skyways. You can walk from building to building without ever having to leave the climate controlled skyways. Just exploring the skyways was fun.

Minneapolis is also a very outdoorsy and active city. The St.Anthony falls heritage trail, a 3 mile trail in downtown Minneapolis is perfect for a quick walk or jog in the morning while the longer trails around the Chain of Lakes is just right for a weekend workout. If hiking, biking or the outdoors makes you allegeric, Minneapolis has the perfect answer, The Mall of America. The most visited mall in the world, the mall with the largest fllor space in the U.S., the mall is insane. It has a complete theme park a roller coaster in the middle of the mall. Insane!

If you are looking for a city vacation and an outdoor vacation, Minneapolis satisfies both.
