La Chute River

Ticonderoga NY

This short river (about 3.5 miles long) empties out of Lake George at 319 ft above sea level, flows through the village of Ticonderoga, and feeds into Lake Champlain at 95 ft. above s.l.(a drop of over 220 ft.). There is much hydroelectric activity on the short expanse of this river. These are the lower falls.
