Misc SoCal Coast 2007

Just a temporary album with a few keepers from a little trip down the coast near me on Saturday August 11, 2007. These photos will be distributed to on topic albums but this small album will remain for a few weeks.

Taken at the Bolsa Chica preserve, the Newport Backbay preserve and now today from the Fullerton Arboretum on the campus of Cal State Fullerton.

I like how the birds are contrasted against the water and their reflections. Especially those egrets. I love those purple flowers though. What kind of flowers are these? I have lived in LA for more than 12 years and have never seen these flowers!
