Lugang 鹿港

A small city located near the coast in central Taiwan's Changhua County, Lugang is known throughout the island for its traditional handicrafts and xiaochi ("little eats"). Notoriously conservative, the town rejected being placed on the rail line during Taiwan's early era of modernization and has thus preserved a larger share of its architectural heritage than nearly any other Taiwanese town.
