One of Tōhoku's most delicious specialities, kiritampo nabe is a hotpot dish mixing chicken, Japanese parsley, glass noodles, onions and field mushrooms in a soy-tinged broth. The last accent on it is kiritampo - kneaded rice that is wrapped around bamboo sticks and cooked over a spit before being plucked off and added to the mix.
