I tried something new - a blue filter and 2.8F aperature. Turns out the 2.8 over expooses when you have a strike less than a mile away. Next time I'll stick with 3.5-4F and a polarizer or blue filter. I had a feeling it would over-expose when I was blinded by this particular strike for nearly a minute, and deafened along with it. The horrendous crackling and thundering sound and the immediate rush of wind was incredible. You have to experience it to understand it. It's a feeling of tremendous energy.
