After seeing a ghecko run up the exhaust pipe into the head, I decided to open it up and check condition, unfortunately, each bolt on both sides of the exhaust were frozen and broke off despite being careful, after having issues drilling it out smoothly, I just redrilled and tapped for the next larger size.
