Baker, Sluggo, Jay and I set off to circumnavigate Mt Whitney. My bright idea was that 4 days could allow acclimatization and make it easier to summit and get back down. Jay and Baker, being the unstoppable tough guys they are, climbed the Mountaineers route on the morning of Day 3 and summited. Sluggo and I elected to wait for the main Sequoia route on the last day, and ended up declining to summit, being pressed by time and altitude. On the way back we stopped by Mono Lake.
