This gun started out as a 99 STO (standard (special) Tournament options (operations) depending who you ask) and has since undergone major changes before landing in my hands. Had it not been for a set of barrels I wanted that were included, I might have passed this one up. As it is, its kinda an interesting piece, though not much more then an oddity. Not long after putting this page up, I received some interesting history on this gun.
First a little history on the STO line, since I notice a lot of questions about them. The STO line debuted in 97 to not a lot of fan fair, but a good bit of interest. The big reason for the interest was because for the first time, vert feed cocker bodies were available to the general public outside of buying a bob long or custom house cocker for a LARGE sum of cash. The STO was WORR’s response to the after market cockers and featured upgraded pneumatics, trigger, vert feed, custom milling and an aftermarket barrel. By any standards, the milling was mild, the pneumatics, although a major step up were still not as highly regarded as the major aftermarket offerings and the trigger was ho hum, but it served as an affordable starting point. The first STO’s were a success, and WGP would continue building them until 2002 when they were replaced by I think the Outkast line. Minor changes in the components would be made every year, but by far the most notable changes were in the yearly milling pattern and anno options.
From the information I was given and later able to track down, this gun was almost certainly one of a set made for Team Misfittoys, an amatuer team that played in a lot of major North American and European events in the late 90's and 2000's. Of special note is that they devoted much of their time and effort as a professional reffing team for such events as IAO and PSP. A series of angels and cockers were commissioned for the team through their sponsors, the work was done by Warhammer customs and anno by A+ annodizing.
As far as modifications go, first off, if you look, you'll notice the standard STO P-block has been replaced with an aftermarket back block, leaving the empty p-block cut out. It actually blends in ok. The frame was replaced by an aftermarket frame, likes like an older Bob Long and the pneumatics were upgraded. The anno is A+ Annodizing's work, a picture of the gun is even on their website.
SOLD (will be gettign a reflex kit on it I am told)
