Fire Twister

Name: Straight milled Twister
Manufactured by: Boston Paintball Supply
MSRP: $1500
Date: 1997-2002
Rarity: ****

This is actually my third twister, although the first complete mech one actually built by BPS. This, like the Reflex twister Is a full twister and not a lite like my sandridge.

These kits came in the lite, clamshell and straight versions; this is a straight milling one with pblock. I've seen straight and clamshells both p blocked and pre 2k, early Twisters came in 5 annos ("Hot Rod" Fade (a glossy black "burned" section that fades into red and orange "flames", "Heat Lightning" pattern (a two-color purple and black fade with silver streaks), "Camo" Fade (a green, brown and black fade with silver streaks), "Deep Freeze" Fade (a two-color blue and black fade with silver streaks), and "Tribal" Fade (a two-color red and black fade with silver streaks) though the option for customer specified annos was offered. Later in the life of the line, more patterns were done and predone bodies were kept on hand or sold as lite kits. BPS also offered their earlier Express cockers, which featured more mundane customer specified milling and had nearly any option you could want.

I have no idea when it was created, although the barrel is a later model. Its possible it was added later but the tip matches perfectly. What's very interesting with this gun is that it has a double finger slide trigger in a Benchmark double frame. Although you still can find these frames for sale on occasion, they are still relatively rare. One of my biggest peeves is people who refer to sliders as single triggers and hinges as doubles. As you can see, sliders can be doubles as well. (I've also seen 1.5 finger sliders and single, 1.5 double and triple hinges.)
