Eyeball

Name: Eyeball
Manufacturer: Eyeball Engineering
Airsmith: Dale Creamer
MSRP: depending on specs $1000+
Date: ~1998
Rarity: *****

Eyeball cockers are probably one of the most obscure production series cockers ever made. To the best of my knowledge, they were never advertised and most were built for local players. Dale Creamer of EyeBall Engineering (production name for the store Paintball Players Supply in Texas) would build them as they came in, typically when he had an extra body. 23.5 were produced (the .5 was actually the 24th gun. An early serial number was stolen and the owner commssioned a replacement. Dale wasn't willing to produce an identical serial so numbered it with the .5) all in right feed. most were single color or fade, this one is supposidly the only one in a more complex anno.

Although I am not 100% sure, from what I have been able to find, the Eyeballs are the first reverse cocker (I have since found out that Jack Withers of Constant Action Paintball in Austin may have that claim). The ram and 3-way are fitted under the plate in a milled out compartment. The biggest issue with this arrangement is that taking off the plate allows the parts to move and usually leads to retiming.

Ironicly, poking through old APG's, I was looking at an old PMS/Nitroduck ad that had always confused me because it defianatly didn't look right when I relized what I was looking at was this gun with a matching PMS Mark 1 airsystem and cradle.
