ANS LE (Stone Marble, Fire, Water)

Name: Limited Edition Chaos Series Gen-X3
Manufacturer: ANS
MSRP: $1375
Date: 2000
Rarity: *****

These were built as the introduction to the Gen-X3 line as store display models, team guns and showcase guns were meant to be the best examples of ANS's tech and abilities. As such, at least three elements based anno patterns were used: Stone Marble, Water (unconfirmed name)and Fire (unconfirmed name), all anno's produced by PK Selective. Besides the numbered runs LE, a number of extra body's with the extra milling were produced. These were single color annoed and sold as the normal X3 line were rolled out. There were supposed to be additional LE patterns produced (possibly as many as 6), however, production was behind schedule and for whatever reason only three LE patterns were apparently produced before the shift was made to mass production of the modern Gen X 3. The remaining bodies for the LE line were unnumbered and annoed a single color; some appear to have been sold as body kits and some were sold as complete guns, At least few went out as promotional pieces.
The LE's were numbered by color series with an individual number out of total.

Water 13 of 24
Stone 12 of 22
fire 11 of 25

Having just sold my ANS Super X (a predecessor) I was rather happy to replace it with the stone marble. I have never been a fan of ANS components, but this gun may be the one to change my mind. I was very impressed by it when I aired it up for feel, although the 3-way has a leak I can't seem to fix. The quality is overall very nice, and was what one could expect from a $1200+ gun if the 3-way wasn't leaking. I was very surprised to see the water pop up because until it did, i was unaware that pattern existed. I purchased it and the flame within weeks of each other. I normally would never buy three of the same guns just for different anno patterns, but in this case I made an exception. I suppose part of me wants to get a larger sampling of ANS products, but really, I admit I jsut wanted the whole set and they were too cheap to pass up.
