Folda Magic

Name: Magic
Manufactured by: Folda
MSRP: DM2000
Date: 1997
Rarity: *****

Big thanks to p4p3rc1ip for everything he's posted in the comments section.

Possibly one of the most obscure and least known cockers ever in the US, the Folda Magic or German Magic was a gun I had only heard of once before on rec.sport.paintball years ago until recently. So rare, I had not even seen a picture.

What little I know is gleaned from those posts, and even mention on German sites was limited to it being listed as approved in Germany. Due to strict gun control laws in Europe and especially Germany, any marker sold there had to be government approved. This opened the market for a German company to step in and make an in country marker for less.

Folda GMBH (possibly later called Tyfun) produced a cocker clone in the mid to late 90's referred to as the magic. Three versions were produced, thanks to p4p3rc1ip for posting his info, non of which I had been able to find.

MF1: Autococker
MF2: Minicocker
MiniMagic: MF2 with a P-Block

Although a Cocker clone, the Folda Magic was not cocker compatible beyond a few basic parts. All internals and fittings were in metric. The most unique features were the powerfeed, ptp style detent and the blocky 4-way. I had heard the 4-way itself was sold separately in a cocker compatible version, but I have never seen anything to confirm it.
