Innsbruck, Austria was having their first snowfall of 2001. The snow hung beautifully on the trees, but the visibility was about 100 feet so we never really saw the Alps. We did see the Mayor give a speech and then light the city Christmas tree to open the Christmas fair with the snow falling the whole time. We felt a bit like we were 100 years in the past.
