Welcome to my gallery of North American bird photographs. My primary interest is in photographing birds in the wild, but I also greatly enjoy photographing wildflowers and astrophotography. I occasionally take photographs of other subjects, which can be found in my general gallery. I hope that by sharing my photographs here I can learn to be a better photographer and perhaps to impart to you some of the joy I feel when I am out in nature.

Galleries below represent major families of North American birds and are listed in A.O.U. order. Some families are missing because I have not yet photographed enough birds to make family galleries for everything. You can also view my bird photographs by site, or via a list of species photographed. When photographing birds (and when birding in general), I adhere to the American Birding Association's Code of Birding Ethics. Unless otherwise stated, birds are photographed in the wild (not at a feeder or feeding blind) in their natural condition.
